3. Eligibility
Membership with the International Association of Psychology and Counseling (IAPC) is open to individuals who support the mission and ethical standards of the Association and who meet any professional or academic criteria stated on our website or application materials.

4. Membership

4.2 Personal and Non-Transferable
Membership is issued to an individual and is strictly non-transferable. It may not be shared, assigned, or used by any other person or organisation. Access to members-only content and benefits is personal to you as the registered member.
4.3 Fees and Duration
Membership fees and durations are displayed on the IAPC website at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, memberships are valid for one year from the date of approval and are subject to renewal on an annual basis. All fees must be paid in full before membership becomes active.
4.4 Renewal and Cancellation
Membership renewals can be made directly through the website or by contacting IAPC. Members may cancel their membership at any time by emailing membership@intapc.org. Refunds for cancelled memberships are handled at the discretion of the IAPC, taking into account administrative costs and the duration of the membership already elapsed.
4.5 Suspension and Termination
The IAPC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership, without refund, if a member:
- Violates these Terms or any applicable laws;
- Engages in conduct deemed unethical, unprofessional, or damaging to the reputation of the Association; or
- Misuses membership privileges or intellectual property belonging to the IAPC.
Any decision to terminate membership will be communicated in writing, and the member will have the opportunity to respond before final action is taken.
5. Conference Registration
5.1 Registration Process
Registration for IAPC events, workshops, or conferences is managed through the official IAPC website or through approved third-party booking systems. Registration is considered complete only once full payment has been received and an official confirmation email has been issued.
Each registration is personal to the individual named and may not be transferred or shared without prior written consent from IAPC.
5.2 Payment and Confirmation
Event fees are listed at the time of registration. All payments must be made in full using one of the approved payment methods. Upon successful registration, you will receive confirmation via email, which serves as proof of entry. If you do not receive confirmation within a reasonable timeframe, it is your responsibility to contact IAPC for assistance.
5.3 Refunds and Cancellations
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis, at the discretion of the IAPC, taking into account timing, individual circumstances, and non-recoverable costs incurred by the Association. To request a refund or cancellation, please contact membership@intapc.org.
If an event is cancelled or postponed by the IAPC, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to apply the payment as a credit toward a future event. Refunds will generally be issued using the same method of payment originally used for registration.
5.4 Changes to Events
The IAPC reserves the right to make reasonable modifications to event programs, schedules, speakers, or venues where necessary due to unforeseen circumstances. Any significant changes will be communicated promptly to registered participants by email or through the IAPC website.
The IAPC will not be liable for any costs (including travel or accommodation) incurred by participants as a result of such changes, cancellations, or delays beyond its control.
6. Payments
6.1 Currency and Pricing
All fees and prices listed on the IAPC website are stated in U.S. dollars (USD) unless otherwise noted. The IAPC reserves the right to update or adjust pricing for membership or event registration at any time; however, the fee displayed at the time of your confirmed purchase will always be honored.
6.2 Payment Processing
Payments made through this website are processed securely using approved third-party payment providers such as Stripe and PayPal. By submitting payment information, you authorize IAPC and its payment partners to process your transaction in accordance with their respective terms of service.
The IAPC does not store or have access to full credit-card numbers or other sensitive payment data. All transactions are encrypted and handled in compliance with industry security standards.
6.3 Accuracy and Authorization
You agree that all payment details provided are accurate, complete, and authorized for use. Providing false or unauthorized payment information may result in cancellation of your membership, event registration, or website access, and may be referred for investigation if fraudulent activity is suspected.
6.4 Use of Funds
As a non-profit organization, the IAPC uses all collected fees exclusively to support its educational, administrative, and professional development objectives. Surplus funds are reinvested into programs that advance the mission of the Association.
6.5 Additional Charges
The IAPC is not responsible for any additional charges applied by your bank or payment provider, including but not limited to foreign-exchange fees, currency conversion rates, or international transaction costs.

If an event or conference must be postponed or cancelled due to a force majeure event, IAPC will determine and communicate the available options, which may include rescheduling, credit toward a future event, or other reasonable alternatives.
Nothing in this clause shall affect your statutory rights under applicable Louisiana or U.S. law.
11. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by, and shall be interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the IAPC website, or any associated services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located within Louisiana. By using this website or engaging with the IAPC, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of these courts and to waive any objection to venue or forum.
